Hybrids have been a great success when it comes to automobile market otherwise morbid. How do we know? Well, the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius smiled when he first arrived for the rest of the automotive industry. Now? The rest of the automotive world is to drive hybrids as there is no tomorrow. There is hybrid motorcycles including the drawing board. Could a hybrid Ferrari next?
The hybrids are generally positive review. Said this the first time a unit can be no doubt a unique experience. The problem? Something curious happens when it comes to a stop like sitting on a red light. The car is quiet and no vibration as the engine isnâ € ™ t running. While you will eventually get used to driving a hybrid, the points of discomfort start a security issue that many people are paying more attention. What is it? The silence of the hybrid car or truck. The problem is not is how the driver perceives, but how people in the street do. Most of us listen first and then look across the road. Well, hybrids are strangely silent, so there have been problems with people close to being beaten before realizing a vehicle coming down the road. This is particularly true in neighborhoods where children are playing and could fall by the wayside.
The issue has become a big enough problem that Congress is involved. Improved Pedestrian Safety Act of 2009 is a bill that would require the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to establish safety standards, which would include some sort warning system for people on the road. While I preferred to play the car radio when riding my bike in my youth, automakers are going to a different approach in the hope of putting the small speakers on the front bumper that will â € € œcar as noisesâ. Â
Given the wide range of tones for cell phones, cana € ™ t you just see the possibilities? Maybe I'ma € ™ ll score a Lamborghini engine noise for my 1968 VW van or a sound for my 1968 VW Van Ferrari [want]! Although, expect hybrids to come with audio tracks in the near future.
